Your voice

Stopping an alarm requires reading your affirmation aloud. Speech is matched on your device to check that you said it. Recordings are not uploaded and are not kept after the alarm is dismissed.

Your mornings

Your alarms, affirmations, critters, streaks and everything you have collected live on your device and in your own private iCloud, so they survive a new phone. We cannot read your iCloud data.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your card details. To keep purchases attached to the right person we store an opaque Apple-provided account identifier, which is not your name, email or Apple ID.

Anonymous usage

To learn which critters and sounds people enjoy, the app may send an anonymous snapshot each morning: which critter woke you, what it was wearing, and the alarm sound. It carries a random per-install id and nothing else, never your name, your Apple ID, your location, or a single word of your affirmations or any audio. It is first-party, with no third-party or advertising SDKs, and you can turn it off anytime in Settings.

What we do not do

No ads, no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, no selling or sharing of personal data, and no accounts to create.

Children

ClockCritters is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
